The Morning Journal Notes of Primley Avalon Briggs

The warm thick air woke me slowly this morning. As thoughts of what today would bring crept in, I knew that the day had begun. This daybreak is a favorite as the day that lies in waiting is filled with creative possibilities and heart.

Being my type of creative means that whimsy is an essential part of my everyday life. It’s something I look for, and always bask in the moments I am in it.

Then there is the practical. The planning of and for the work that takes me to those whimsical moments. The morning will be quiet, and introspective as thoughts of the preparation required for the afternoon of photography that awaits.

Photographing flowers. This work tickles every sense in my body. The anticipation of stems of color and their fragrance is its own experience. The personalities of each show as they morph from flower to fine art.

Waking to this day feels rich, beautiful artful thoughts are without a doubt a luxurious way to begin this day.

A good morning indeed.
